Dry screed for large-format tiles

Dry construction: underfloor heating with CompactFloor EXPERT

Previously, tiles in the format 33 x 33 cm were popular, but the tile formats are growing. However, many dry screeds can still not take up formats such as 30 x 60 cm, 60 x 60 cm or even 120 x 20 cm. Compact Floor GmbH, a specialist for dry floor constructions, has developed a screed element, which is particularly suitable for large-format tiles: CompactFloor EXPERT.

Highly resilient dry floor construction
The fiber-reinforced concrete elements have a high flexural strength that meets the requirements of large-format tiles. As a result, large-format tiles of up to 120 x 120 cm are also possible in dry construction. Renowned manufacturers of construction chemicals already issued their adhesive releases. But also all other floor coverings can be used, whether carpet, parquet, laminate or vinyl flooring – everything is possible.

CompactFloor EXPERT: robust and high-performing
The 20 mm high elements offer the advantages of dry construction: avoiding moisture, thus shortening the construction time. The installation of CompactFloor EXPERT is also easy. The individual elements are glued to the joint edges with a synthetic resin, creating a floating, high-impact screed slab. The MPA Stuttgart (Materialprüfungsanstalt) confirmed the load capacity of 5.0 kN / m², which means that CompactFloor EXPERT is also suitable for storerooms, children’s playgrounds or churches. The dry installation, the low height and the low weight make it easy to use in old buildings and refurbishments.

With a thermal conductivity of 1.2 W / mK, the CompactFloor EXPERT is optimally adapted to the requirements of modern floor heating systems. The heat quickly reaches the floor and can be passed on to the room. Long preheating times are no longer required, since CompactFloor allows heat at the push of a button. The inertia of the floor heating is therefore a thing of the past.
