Ubirch and Partners receive “Collaboration Award” from the Trusted IoT Alliance
As part of the Smart E-Mobility Challenge of the Trusted IoT Alliance (TIoTA), the Cologne-based blockchain company Ubirch, together with strong partners, has developed technologically unique IoT solutions for the connected car. At Bosch Connected World 2019, Ubirch received the TIoTA Collaboration Award for its partnerships with companies from a wide variety of industries and for its trailblazing showcases relating to connected cars.
As a Smart Mobility competition participant of the Trusted IoT Alliance, Ubirch was able to win over the companies Center Connected Industry, DSA, energybase (a start-up of EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG), Lufthansa Industry Solutions and Telekom Innovation Laboratories (T-Labs) to join the project. Three different showcases demonstrated the necessity and advantages of secure data in the cars of the future. Be it in the case of damage detection, network optimization in the area of energy or trustworthy mileage for used cars – the automotive industry benefits from the new possibilities that Blockchain and IoT open up when the right partners join forces.
Stephan Noller, CEO of Ubirch, is delighted with the number and quality of his company’s partners in the competition: “We are excited about this challenge because the connected car is a great example for the need of trust in IoT. With a couple of strong partners we will showcase how trusted data from the car can help to establish trailblazing business-models in different sectors like insurance, energy and fleet management.”
