Open Tech Day 2026 – Focus on Software-Defined Storage

NETWAYS Event Services GmbH is pleased to announce the Call for Papers and Early Bird Ticket Sale for Open Tech Day 2026.

The one-day conference will take place on October 1, 2026, in Nuremberg, Germany, focusing entirely on the next evolution of Software-Defined Storage (SDS).

As data volumes continue to grow at an unprecedented pace, Open Tech Day 2026 will explore modern, resilient, and scalable storage architectures built on open source technologies.

The event will bring together engineers, architects, and IT decision-makers to discuss distributed systems, cloud-native storage designs, and the technologies redefining how data infrastructures are built and operated.

CALL FOR PAPERS OPEN

The organizers are looking for speakers who are passionate about software-defined storage and eager to share their expertise with the community.
They want to hear peoples‘ stories:
– What have they built?
– What challenges did they face?
– What worked better than expected?
– What would they never do again?

As with every NETWAYS event, priority is given to talks that provide real value and practical insights for attendees.
Suggested topics include:
– Deep technical insights into SDS architectures
– Real-world use cases and production environments
– Distributed storage systems
– Cloud-native storage approaches
– Lessons learned and failure stories
– Live demos and open source projects worth discovering

Session formats:
– Ignite Talk (5 minutes, auto-advancing slides)
– Regular Talk (30 minutes including Q&A)

The Call for Papers is open until May 31, 2026.
